Episode 038 Kay Richardson connecting entrepreneurs to their heart work
Episode 038 Kay Richardson
Kay Richardson is the author of, What a Woman’s Gotta Do. Kay describes herself as someone who is unafraid to tell it like it is. She is passionate about teaching audiences to stop letting their fears get in the way of their value. She wants to help other build their heart businesses, get their needed messages out into the world, and play BIG.
Kay built her first successful businesses in her 20’s. In her first brand as an ergonomics consultant and occupational therapist, she appeared in media as a guest expert, a paid speaker at leading industry conferences and hired by the government and fortune companies.
Though she says she, “…didn’t have a clue how to market, sell or brand a business. I had to put my fears—and all the ‘I’m shy’ B.S.—on the shelf most days and take action. What I realized is that being really good at what you do doesn’t mean a thing. But when I got good at promoting myself with confidence, plus solving a particular problem, and, asking for my worth, business increased.”
In today’s episode Kay talks about how she was led to her passion—helping women feel confidence and clarity in their work lives, and how that informs the rest of their lives too. Kay has practical ideas and insights around getting women to see the light in themselves, and the value they bring to the world through entrepreneurship. She shares personal stories to illustrate how to show up in business, so …”you’re doing what you’re supposed to be doing in the world.”
